The libraries of the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library cannot be visited from 11 November 2020

Due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, the Central Library and all branch libraries of Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library are closed from November 11, 2020 until withdrawn.

Under the terms of Government Decree 484/2020 (10 November) due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, the Central Library and all branch libraries of Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library are closed from November 11, 2020 until withdrawal.
From the date of closure, the Library automatically extends the expiration dates of library memberships (library cards), as well as the expiration date of borrowed books, and other kind of documents. There are no late fines charged for the period of suspension of services.
Our remote services can be used as usual on the library website.
Considering the period of the epidemiological restrictions prolonged more times and permanent reader's inquiries and user's demands, book circulation service called Library Swap Point is launched by the Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library with temporary conditions from 10th February 2021. The new service is provided only through either the door or the window without entering the libraries. See more information about the service by clicking here.
