Books inform us about applying for mainly undergraduate education. Students are informed about the process of application by the publications of UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).
(Books, websites and link collections are offered as assistance.)
On the website of UCAS (the central registration interface of universities) almost all information can be found that should be known by a student about application for higher education, universities and faculties in advance.
Besides information sources available on the website of UCAS, some publications provided in book forms are also recommended; they were available in the reading rooms as reference-only books in previous years; however, now they can be borrowed after reservation started on the interface of the catalog.
The process of searching
In the online catalogue of the Library please use the "Advanced Search" menu item. Searching by keywords, you can find and reserve documents related to further education in England by the following expressions.
Keywords: UCAS, higher education, applying, CV, personal statement
You can indicate your loan request is to click on "Hold" button at the titles found in the catalog. Your request can be sent in e-mail to our colleagues, to the e-mail address of the library. Our colleagues send a confirmation letter about the feasibility of reservation request via e-mail in all cases; readers are also informed about the date when they can borrow the works they need. Reserved documents can be received only at Library Swap Points; reservation service is free of charge again, temporarily. Maximum 8 titles (items) can be borrowed.
